Drake Absolutely Roasted Fred VanVleet After He Signed With The Rockets

This is why I think Drake is a real fan. Everyone trolls him because he would rep any team that notices him like Rico Bosco. But you know who your real team is, which the Raptors clearly are for Drake. 

The funniest part about this is that Drake is right. I would take $200 million to go anywhere, don't get me wrong. But the Rockets are such dogshit, VanVleet might as well have went to the Guangdong Dragons. Even Fred's response kinda tells me he was thinking the same exact thing. When you sign that type of contract, you aren't completely looking at the roster and being like "Yeah the Rockets are going to be a team that gets me to a championship". I honestly didn't know he would be worth this much money but NBA free agency contracts will always make zero sense to me plus Fred already got his ring.

Everyone always asks why are the NFL contracts are not as big because the money and viewership is at least double the NBA, maybe even more I have no idea. This may be too simple of an answer, but I think it's just because they only have to pay 12 players in the NBA instead of 53 in the NFL. In the NBA, you only have to pay 2 or 3 guys while the NFL has a much bigger roster with different levels of importance, which can sometimes lead to a Fred VanVleet getting a 3 year, $130 million deal. This is also just based completely off my brain with no research, so I may be way off.
